1. The service

GradeCalc provides free online calculators, grading charts and educational articles about grades and GPA. The Site is offered for personal, educational and classroom use. We may change, add or remove features at any time.

2. Estimates, not official records

Results are estimates based on the numbers you enter and the standard U.S. grading scale. They are not official grades and may differ from your school's records because of rounding, weighting or other policies. See the disclaimer and methodology.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site in a way that breaks any law or school policy;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its infrastructure;
  • copy and republish substantial parts of the Site's content or design as your own.

Teachers may print grading charts and share links to the Site with students freely.

4. Intellectual property

The Site's text, design, logo and code are owned by GradeCalc and protected by copyright and trademark law. Formulas and grading scales themselves are general knowledge and free for anyone to use.

5. Third-party links and ads

The Site may link to other websites or display advertising from third parties. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.

6. No warranty

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work hard to keep calculations correct but cannot guarantee the Site will be error-free or always available.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GradeCalc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any academic, financial or other decisions made based on the Site's results.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which GradeCalc operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
